Design Consultation: Interview and information gathering
Blue Coral Interiors offers a complimentary one-hour meeting in your home. This affords the opportunity to meet in person and talk about your upcoming project. It is not a consultation with design advice, but a meeting to gather information about each other.
This is your time to tell us your "wish" list for the space, share images from magazines that you like, indicate colors that you prefer, and let us know what you don't like about the space. We ask questions about how you want the space to function. How will the space be used? Do you want this to be a multi-use room? How many people will use the space? Do you cook a lot? Do you entertain? Does the space need to be child or pet friendly? Do you want the space to feel casual, comfortable, glamorous or elegant? These are just a few examples of questions that we may ask.

Design Proposal: Outline of what is be to accomplished
The design proposal defines the scope of work determined during the design consultation, lists the design services needed to complete your project, and specifies the number of interior design hours necessary. It identifies the number of meetings for presentation of plans, specifications, accessories, artwork and budget review. Not all of the services are necessary for each project. The proposal includes only what is required to ensure a successful and timely project.

Fees: What we charge for services
Design services are billed on an hourly basis. The fee is $110.00 per hour. A $500.00 retainer is required when the Design Proposal is signed. Services added beyond the scope of the original proposal, or decision changes that affect the time estimated, require an amended contract.

Timeline: Working through the design process
Upon approval of the Design Proposal, we discuss the "next steps". A working timeline is established to guarantee a successful project. We offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule and maintain the timeline.
